A gentle, safe space
No long writing, no judgment, no blame. The questions describe situations, never people, and nothing tells you what you should feel.
Saathi is a gentle, private well-being check. You simply choose from easy options, at your own pace. You get a clear summary of where life feels heavy right now, small steps to try, and the people who can help.
Just as the body can feel unwell, so can the mind, through stress, worry, sadness, fear or exhaustion. Needing support is as ordinary as needing a doctor for a fever. It is not weakness, and it is not a flaw in you.
No long writing, no judgment, no blame. The questions describe situations, never people, and nothing tells you what you should feel.
Saathi looks at everyday areas of life, such as studies, family, sleep and money, and shows which ones feel Low, Mild, Moderate or High right now.
Your report points to small next steps and to people who can help, including a trained counsellor at your Manobal Kendra if you want one.
Silence is not a failure. It is often a way of protecting ourselves. Saathi is built to respect that.
You never see every question. Each stage opens only when the one before it shows something heavy.
Tell us your gender, age group, name and contact. You get a friendly virtual guide who speaks in a voice you are comfortable with. The guide always says it is a program, never a human.
About 4 to 5 minutes. They show in which area of life the weight is. Safety questions are always at the top.
If anything suggests you may be unsafe, everything pauses, one gentle question is asked, and you are connected to a trained person.
Only that area opens, at most two at a time. If it is Low or Mild, the chatbot itself gives you small steps and support.
Only if an area feels Moderate or High, and only if you say yes: 21 short statements show how heavy stress, worry and low mood were over the past week.
Only the ones that matter to you ever open.
Saathi is for every age. The words, questions and protections change with your age group, so everyone gets what fits their own life.
A safe place to name what you feel, with small next steps. Includes college, hostel and coaching life.
A private, non-judgmental check of your own well-being. It is never a test of parenting.
Workload, tiredness and distress about students. Teachers, wardens and non-teaching staff are welcome.
The counselling space on campus. Saathi is one way in. Counsellors only see what you choose to share.
For each area, you see one of four levels. A level describes an area of life, never you as a person.
You also get small things to try today, a gentle first-week plan, three calming tools, tables and charts, and the helpline numbers. You can download the report as a PDF and have it sent to your email.
We tell you honestly what happens next. We will never promise anything we cannot guarantee.
You tap options. There is no free writing, so only what you chose is stored.
Nothing goes to your parents, college or employer without your choice. There are only a few narrow exceptions: immediate danger to life, or where a law requires it.
If you choose to stay anonymous, nobody is told who you are, and no one will contact you.
Your institution sees only anonymous, combined numbers. Small groups are hidden so nobody can be recognised.
What you share is never used for marks, attendance, hostel decisions or discipline.
Stop, pause or skip any question at any time. Your place stays saved.
If you are in immediate danger, call 112. These services are free and ready to listen.
No. It shows where stress is. A professional and a validated tool are needed for that.
Nothing goes to others without your choice, except in narrow cases that the law or an immediate danger to life requires. We tell you honestly what happens next. No false promises.
Not automatically. If there is an immediate danger to your life, trained adults may need to act, and they check first that telling someone at home is safe.
No. You can skip any question or stop at any time. It never affects your marks, attendance or hostel.
So a counsellor can reach you if you ask for one, and so your report is linked to you. You can use a nickname. If you choose to stay anonymous, nobody will contact you and your details are not shown to anyone.
No. Only the areas that are relevant to you open. You can skip any question and stop whenever you like.
No. A qualified counsellor at your Manobal Kendra does the standardised tests and the real support. Saathi helps you find the way in.
Call 112 or Tele-MANAS 14416. If you tell Saathi you are unsafe, it stops everything and shows the emergency screen.
Yes. Children under 13 get a very short, gentle set with a question about safety. Ages 13 to 17 get Stages 1 and 2. Child protection is always on: CHILDLINE 1098. For some things, trained adults must step in, and you are told this honestly.
Yes. The report appears in the chat straight away, you can download it as a PDF, and if you gave an email it can be sent there too.
